The club began in 2000 in response to a need in the community. We believe that children respond best when they are in a friendly environment when both, children and adults, are relaxed and happy. The aim of the club, therefore, is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children where parents/guardians can feel confident they are being cared for by friendly, motivated and experienced staff. We provide games and activities of fun and educational value in a familiar setting. We are registered with OFSTED and, as such, are inspected accordingly; this ensures that we offer the highest quality care. Our curriculum complies with the national statutory framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Treetops is situated within the grounds of Ash Green Primary Academy and the club is open to all children registered at the Academy. It is important for children to be registered with the club before a place can be allocated and as we are heavily oversubscribed, booking in advance is essential.
We are registered for only 32 places for under 8 year olds for each session so a place cannot always be guaranteed. We maintain an adult to child ratio of 1:8 as specified by the EYFS. Places for over 8 year olds are limited to 10 per session as recommended in national guidelines.
In accordance with the EYFS we operate a Keyworker system for all children; you will be notified of this accordingly. Your Keyworker should be your first point of call with any concerns regarding the welfare of your child. The Keyworker will carry out regular observations of children with regard to their development and welfare; these records are always available for you to view.
Treetops Breakfast Club and After School Care Club will operate on a first come, first served basis. Our clubs are open to children with ages 3 – 11.
