Year 5 have been enjoying using clay to create their own lighthouses, inspired by our class text ‘Letters from the Lighthouse’.
Year 5 have been investigating air resistance by designing and testing their own parachutes. We dropped them out of a first-floor window and loved watching them work. Unfortunately for one lego man, a gust of wind caught his parachute and he is now residing on our school roof!

In Year 5, we have had a fantastic day creating stop-motion animations based on our class text, Beowulf. Mr Bunyan and Miss Antinoro from Trentham Academy came in to lead us through using the iPads and becoming movie directors – all of Year 5 give a big thank you to them!
